Terms of use
These terms govern access to Willow, an English-language editorial publication operated from Jl. Taman Anggrek No. 25, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, Jakarta 11470, Indonesia. By reading the site, visitors agree to use it lawfully and respectfully. These terms do not create a clinical relationship, diagnosis, prescription, guarantee or professional duty of care. They apply to every page of the site, to the contact form and to any correspondence with the editorial desk. They sit alongside the privacy policy, the cookies policy, the health notice and the editorial disclaimer, which together describe how the publication works. A visitor who does not agree with these terms should stop using the site. The terms are written in English for adult readers in Indonesia and take effect on the first visit to any page. Visitors from other countries may read the site, but compliance with the rules of the place where they live remains their own responsibility. The terms stay in force for as long as the site is used, and the version published on the site at the time of a visit is the version that applies to that visit.
Editorial scope
Willow publishes general information about natural health and vitality after 30. Articles are not a substitute for personal medical, psychological, nutrition or exercise advice. Circumstances differ and readers remain responsible for seeking appropriate professional support. The health notice explains this boundary in detail. The subjects covered include everyday nutrition, movement, sleep routines, stress and relationships, presented as explanation rather than instruction for an individual. An article that mentions a practice is describing it, not recommending that every reader adopt it. Readers who have a diagnosis, take regular medication or have recent symptoms should talk to a qualified professional before changing a routine. Willow does not provide individual consultations, nutrition plans, exercise prescriptions or product recommendations. A summary of a public guideline is offered to help a reader understand it, and is not a statement that the guideline applies to that reader. Where an article invites a reader to think about a habit, the invitation is for reflection and not an instruction.
- (a) Included: general explanation, definitions, source pointers and questions a reader may wish to take to a professional.
- (b) Not included: diagnosis, monitoring, personalised plans, product advice or replies that assess a reader's symptoms.
Permitted use
You may read, link to and quote a reasonable excerpt for non-commercial purposes with attribution. You may not scrape the site to create a competing health database or imply endorsement. Automated access must respect reasonable technical limits. Nothing here transfers Willow's intellectual-property rights. A reasonable excerpt means a short passage, normally no more than a few sentences, accompanied by the article title and a link to the original page. Teachers, journalists and community groups who want to reproduce more should write to the editorial desk, which usually responds within 10 working days. Visitors may not use the site to send unlawful, abusive or deceptive material, or to attempt to interfere with its security. Links to Willow pages from other sites are welcome when they describe the page accurately. Willow may ask that a link or quotation be changed if it misrepresents the content. Access that places an unreasonable load on the site may be slowed or blocked without notice, and repeated misuse may lead to an address being barred.
- (a) Allowed: reading, linking, brief attributed quotation and personal printing for private reference.
- (b) Requires permission: republishing full articles, translating articles for publication, or using images outside the page.
- (c) Not allowed: bulk copying, automated harvesting beyond ordinary search-engine behaviour, or presenting Willow content as endorsing another organisation.
- (d) Reporting: if you see Willow content copied without permission, send the page address to the editorial desk and it will be reviewed.
Accuracy and change
Editors aim for useful, current and carefully worded content, but no page is promised to be complete or suitable for every person. Information may change as evidence, law or editorial practice changes. The review date is a guide rather than a guarantee. Readers should verify consequential decisions with appropriate professionals. Each article carries the date it was last reviewed, and pages are normally re-read at least once a year or sooner when a reader reports a concern. When a factual correction is material, the page is updated and the change is described in a short note. Willow cannot promise that every external statistic or guideline quoted remains current after publication. Where Willow quotes a figure from a public body, the article names the body and the year of the figure so that readers can find the original. A statistic from another country is described as such and is not presented as a statement about Indonesia. Readers who notice a figure that appears out of date can report it, and the desk checks the source before deciding whether an update is needed.
Health safety
Do not use Willow to delay urgent care or to replace an assessment of severe, sudden or worsening symptoms. Medication, pregnancy, chronic illness, disability and mental-health circumstances can change what is appropriate. Stop an activity that causes concerning symptoms and obtain suitable advice. Emergency situations require local emergency services. In Indonesia, a person can call 112 for emergency assistance or go directly to the nearest hospital or health facility. The editorial desk is not staffed to respond to emergencies and cannot assess symptoms by phone or message. If you are supporting someone else who seems unwell, prioritise their immediate safety and contact local services rather than writing to Willow. Heat-related illness, dehydration and sudden breathlessness are examples of situations in which waiting for information online is not appropriate. Readers who feel unsafe or are worried about their own mental state can speak to a health professional or a trusted person immediately. Willow does not monitor messages for signs of an emergency, so a message sent to the desk should never be treated as a request for help.
Contact submissions
Visitors must provide information they are entitled to share and should minimise sensitive details. A submission does not guarantee a response or publication. Willow may retain correspondence under the privacy policy to answer, protect the service and improve editorial quality. Do not submit confidential records through a general form. Willow aims to acknowledge a message within 3 working days and to reply substantively within 10 working days, although volume can lengthen this. Messages that are abusive, unlawful or clearly automated may be deleted without a reply. Reader questions may inform future topics, but a reader's name or story is never published without clear permission obtained beforehand. Correspondence is read by a small number of editorial staff and is not shared with advertisers or outside organisations. A reader may ask to see, correct or delete a message they have sent, and the desk responds under the timings in the privacy policy. Messages are normally kept for up to 24 months and are then deleted or anonymised.
- (a) Submit only information about yourself or information you have permission to share.
- (b) Leave out diagnoses, prescriptions, identity numbers and financial details.
- (c) Expect a confirmation message on screen after the form is sent and a reply from the desk where a reply is appropriate.
Intellectual property
Willow text, layout, branding and original editorial material are protected by applicable law. Third-party names and sources remain with their owners. Permission requests can be sent to the contact address. Linking should be accurate and must not frame Willow as a partner without written permission. Under Indonesian copyright law, original written works and photographs are protected from the moment of creation, and no registration notice is needed for that protection to exist. Photographs used on the site are licensed or created for the publication, and their reuse requires a separate request. If a rights holder believes material on the site infringes their rights, they may send the page address and a description of the concern to the editorial desk for review. Willow aims to respond to a rights concern within 10 working days and may remove or amend material while it is examined. Short quotations from other publications are used with attribution for commentary and explanation. A person who wishes to use Willow photographs for teaching or community material can ask, and permission is usually given in writing with the conditions that apply.
Third-party links
Links may help readers find public resources, but Willow does not control their content, privacy practices or availability. A link is not an endorsement of every statement or service on the destination. Review the destination's own terms before sharing personal information. Willow is not responsible for external sites. Typical destinations include public health agencies, academic summaries and professional associations. Willow reviews links when it updates an article, and removes or replaces those that no longer work or no longer meet its editorial standard. A reader who finds a broken or unsuitable link can report it to the desk with the page title. Willow does not use affiliate links at this review, and it does not receive payment for the links it publishes. Links to public bodies are chosen because the material is accessible to a general reader and is maintained by an identifiable organisation. A link that points to a document rather than a web page is described as such where practical.
Availability
Willow may change, suspend or retire a page for maintenance, security, editorial review or legal reasons. Reasonable effort is made to preserve access, but uninterrupted availability is not promised. The service is provided on an informational basis. Visitors should keep their own records when a reference matters. Planned maintenance is normally carried out outside peak reading hours in Western Indonesia Time (WIB, UTC+7). If a page is withdrawn for accuracy or legal reasons, Willow may leave a short notice explaining that the page is no longer available. Retired pages may be kept internally for a limited period for editorial records. A retired page may display a short notice and a link to the home page or a related article. Willow offers no service-level commitment for the site, because it is a free reading resource. Visitors who rely on a particular page for study or work are encouraged to note its title, date and address and to consult the original source of any figure.
Liability and law
To the extent permitted by law, Willow is not responsible for loss arising from reliance on general content, interruptions or external links. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. These terms are interpreted with regard to applicable Indonesian law. Any dispute should first be raised with the editorial contact. Willow will try to resolve a dispute through direct discussion within 30 days of receiving a written description of the concern. If discussion does not resolve it, the parties may pursue the remedies available under Indonesian law, including consumer-protection channels and, where appropriate, the competent courts in Jakarta. Rights that the law gives to consumers or data subjects are not reduced by these terms. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing or matters that Indonesian law does not allow to be limited. Visitors are responsible for their own devices, connections and the safe use of any third-party site they open from a link. Willow is not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as power or network interruption, natural events or action by public authorities.
- (a) Step one: write to the editorial desk with a description of the concern and the page address.
- (b) Step two: receive an acknowledgement within 3 working days and a discussion within 30 days.
- (c) Step three: if the matter is not resolved, use the consumer-protection channels or the competent courts in Jakarta.
Updates
This version was reviewed October 12, 2026. A future revision may clarify scope, privacy links or contact procedures, and the effective date will be recorded. Continued use after a material update indicates acceptance of the revised terms where lawful. Earlier versions may be requested for a reasonable period. A change that significantly affects visitors will be flagged near the top of the page for at least 30 days. Typographical or formatting changes are made without a notice. Visitors who want a copy of an earlier version can ask the desk, which normally responds within 10 working days. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the other provisions remain in effect. The dated entries below record the history of this document.

- August 24, 2026: wording on permitted excerpts and third-party links clarified.

Nature of the content
All articles, guides and glossary entries are general information for adult readers. They are not personal advice and do not create a professional relationship between a reader and Willow. A reader who relies on a page for a decision about work, money, medication, exercise or diet does so with their own judgement, and is encouraged to confirm important points with a qualified professional in Indonesia.
Acceptable use
- Readers may view, print and quote short passages for personal, non-commercial use with a link to the original page.
- Automated copying of the whole site, republication of articles or use of images outside the page they appear on needs written permission from the editorial desk.
- Readers must not try to disrupt the site, test its security without permission, or send content that is unlawful, abusive or misleading through the contact form.
Intellectual property
Text, layout, illustrations and photographs on the site belong to Willow or its licensors and are protected under Indonesian copyright law, Law No. 28 of 2014. Names and quotations from other organisations remain the property of their owners. Where Willow quotes a source, the quotation is short, attributed and used for commentary or explanation.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to public institutions, research bodies or other reference sources. Willow does not control those sites and cannot confirm that their content stays unchanged. A link is a pointer for further reading and is not an endorsement of every statement on the linked site.
Availability and changes
The site is maintained during normal business days and may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside Willow's control. Pages, URLs and review dates can change as articles are updated or retired. Material changes to these terms are dated in the revision record, and continued use of the site after a change means the reader accepts the updated version.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection and Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions as amended. A reader with a concern is invited to contact the editorial desk first, which acknowledges messages within 3 working days. If the matter is not resolved through discussion, the parties may refer it to the competent court in West Jakarta or to an Indonesian consumer dispute body.
